Why be a sponsor and donate private terrain beneath rock?
Cliffbase has long grown a full- time three years job for me .I worked hard, about 3.000 bolts and it was great time. Of course all the infrastructure we use causes costs, specially costs related to private terrain beneath.
Keeping area clean, save bolts and stands, toilette service, keeping good mood and atmosphere surely needs some financial sponsoring & donations. Your donations will be mainly use for reason above.
Yes, we have also educational ambitions as well, to climbing even to non climbing community. When the spot become popular, more or less devastation follow. No one community can be ignorant of the private property beneath and around rocks anywhere.
Usually this problems become actual as owners complain again and again:
Parking in non designated areas
Camping in non designated areas
No fire attention, specially cigarettes stubs
Robbery of agricultures products, grape etc. …
Devastating plants and walls around
Excrements of climbers, shits, smelling urine, girls urine papers
Excrements of climbers dogs
Cigarettes stubs around, hundreds daily
Trash around
Rough behaviour to locals and terrain owners,
Using private stuff, mainly enter private boats etc….
